About the position

Hologic's Surgical facility in Louisville, CO, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Manager in R&D to lead and develop cohesive teams while overseeing multiple concurrent projects. This role emphasizes versatility, flexibility, and the ability to exceed goals through strategic agility and effective negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead teams to resolve crucial issues and unique conditions.
• Supervise and support programs of high complexity and scope, ensuring they are properly resourced to achieve project and business objectives.
• Develop and implement product development plans for new product concepts, following products through to manufacturing.
• Work closely with Quality to ensure ongoing compliance with the Quality Management System and ensure products meet customer requirements as defined by sales and marketing.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to develop methods and processes that facilitate decisions and improve results.
• Serve as a technical specialist, applying advanced concepts, principles, and methods to the organization.
• Effectively communicate with cross-functional teams to drive the best decisions for the business.

Requirements

• Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 8-10 years of work experience in the medical device or other regulated industry, with research and development experience.
• Proven ability to supervise, develop, and provide work direction to engineering staff.
• Experience in planning, scheduling, budgeting, and coordinating multiple major projects.
