About the position

The R&D Operational Technology Service & Security Delivery Director at GSK is responsible for overseeing the operational technology systems that support the research and development process. This role involves ensuring compliance with security policies, managing a team of OT leads, and collaborating with various departments to enhance the efficiency and security of operational technology. The director will also lead incident management, risk assessments, and governance initiatives to maintain the integrity and performance of OT systems across multiple locations.

Responsibilities

  • Ownership and responsibility for operational technology across R&D.
  • Act as a trusted advisor for operational technology, delivering value to GSK.
  • Ensure smooth operation, availability, and efficiency of operational technology systems.
  • Manage governance around operational technology including Steering Committees and forums.
  • Ensure adherence to service level agreements with stakeholders and vendors.
  • Lead response to operational technology-related incidents to minimize downtime.
  • Manage implementation of cybersecurity measures specific to operational technology environments.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments to identify threats and vulnerabilities in OT systems.
  • Manage deployment of security patches and updates for OT devices.
  • Develop and maintain OT-specific awareness programs for employees.
  • Support management of operational technology initiatives within R&D.
  • Ensure compliance with internal security and risk management policies and external regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a Technical field such as Engineering or Information Technology.
  • Significant experience in managing cyber-security for R&D environments.
  • Experience with risk assessments and mitigation in OT systems.
  • Experience with deployment of security patches for OT devices.
  • Proven experience in delivering an OT Security Strategy in a global company.
  • Strong facilitation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Fluency in English (written and oral).

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's Degree in Cyber Security or Information Security.
  • Working knowledge of operational technology within laboratory environments.
  • Certification in CISSP, CISM, or CISA.
