About the position

Energizer Holdings is seeking a Technology Engineer to join the Battery Innovation Capabilities team. This role focuses on leading innovation process development projects with an emphasis on data visualization, metrics, and analytics. The position aims to enhance decision-making and operational efficiency through a metrics-driven engineering approach, which involves collecting, monitoring, and analyzing engineering data to inform product development decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Update and bring visibility to R D data, including metrics that track operational performance.
  • Monitor best practices in the related field and make recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Analyze data and draw supportable conclusions leading to next steps.
  • Apply statistical methods.
  • Lead and support process development initiatives.
  • Prepare reports and presentations documenting work and progress.
  • Leverage data analytics methodologies, tools, and technologies to support initiatives that drive continuous improvement in innovation processes.
  • Design, develop, deploy, and maintain dashboards and tools that visualize data and help uncover trends, root causes, and insights; translating that data into recommendations that drive positive business outcomes.
  • Partner across R D and with cross-functional teams to integrate data-driven insights into business initiatives, ensuring alignment with the company's strategic goals and R D product development roadmaps to enhance decision-making and operational efficiency.
  • Stay informed of industry trends and best practices to support continuous improvement.
  • Summarize and present presentations and reports to communicate progress and business results.

Requirements

  • Bachelors in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
  • 2-4 years experience in a product development environment or metrics-driven engineering role.
  • Ability to apply fundamental engineering and scientific principles to familiar and new situations.
  • Result oriented, proactive, and able to work both independently and on teams.
  • Eagerness to take a hands-on approach to learning or identifying problems.
  • Strong analytical skills, ability to draw conclusions, and determine strategies based on data.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Project, Microsoft Power BI, Microsoft Azure, and Python.
  • Design of experiments (DOE) experience.
  • Proven experience in applying successive levels of quantitative and analytical fields (e.g. Statistics, ML/AI, Modeling, etc.) with an ability to analyze complex, high volume data from various sources to highlight previously unknown patterns and relationships.
  • Modeling and simulation experience.
  • Experience in product commercialization and project management.
  • Strong statistical skills (Statistical Modeling) and experience with Minitab (or equivalent).
  • Statistical process control (SPC) and manufacturing quality control (Infinity QS).
