As a key member of the highly motivated Research and Development (R&D) team at the Vero Beach Research Center, you will play a crucial role in designing, initiating, and conducting research and development projects that support the Crop Protection Field Development R&D program. Your primary focus will be on promoting new active ingredients and supporting existing products. The ideal candidate will be comfortable and competent in laboratory, greenhouse, and field settings, ensuring a comprehensive approach to crop protection from planting to harvesting. In this role, you will provide essential technical support for registered products, aiding Sales and Marketing efforts as well as collaborating with global research biology and product development teams. You will be responsible for completing projects that are critical to the promotion of new active ingredients and the support of current products. As a Field Project Coordinator (FPC) for assigned projects, you will coordinate insecticide demonstration trials for training and education, ensuring that all work aligns with Syngenta's standards on quality and safety. Your accountabilities will include conducting and coordinating high-quality insect control trials, contributing to biological profiling and label development of crop protection products. You will also lead project planning, define experimental objectives, and ensure the successful implementation of insect trials. Summarizing trial data and providing actionable recommendations will be key to identifying development opportunities for insecticide product label expansion or further research. You will begin to establish yourself as an expert in your field, providing recommendations that directly influence business decisions and positioning. Collaboration is essential in this role, as you will work closely with insect control and Vero Beach Research Center team members, Technical Product Leads, and other business partners on trial design and implementation. You will also participate in various site tours for internal and external groups, providing technical support and training. As an active participant on the CPFD insect control bioteam, you will build effective relationships with team members and support local Health, Safety, and Environment (HS&E) policies and strategies.
