Broadcom Data Center Solutions Group is seeking a talented and passionate engineer to join the R&D Systems Applications Engineering (SAE) team. This role involves working directly with top-tier OEMs/ODMs, Field Application Engineers (FAE), and internal design engineers to launch new customer products and resolve complex technical issues related to Broadcom's PCIe switch products. The engineer will provide guidance on product integration, develop documentation, and collaborate with industry partners to enhance customer satisfaction.

  • Analyze, debug, and root cause issues found within Broadcom's PCIe switch products.
  • Provide guidance to OEM and Cloud customers on integrating Broadcom's PCIe switch products into various platforms.
  • Develop product documentation for customer implementation of Broadcom's PCIe switch products.
  • Train Field Applications Engineers, Sales Engineers, and support staff on product features.
  • Develop tools and processes to improve debug efficiency and customer satisfaction.
  • Occasional travel, some of which may be international.
  • Experience with firmware, software, hardware and PCIe protocol level debug.
  • Experience developing and debugging C code.
  • Prior experience in embedded software debug or development using PCIe technology.
  • Experience reading board schematics and layout files.
  • Skilled at debugging and analyzing high speed analog signals.
  • Self-motivated and a strong self-driven learner.
  • Good written and verbal communications skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple parallel tasks.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate complex technical solutions.
  • Experience with NIC, SAS/SATA protocols, RAID, ARM or PPC embedded processors.
  • Ability to perform SMD/SMT soldering and rework.
  • Presentation skills.
