About the position

The Technical Knowledge Solutions Team at Corteva Agriscience is seeking an intern with a keen interest in agriculture, science, communication, and education. This internship offers a unique opportunity to support the North America regional needs for technical learning resources. The intern will engage in converting complex research and agronomy information into practical technical learning tools, applying adult education design and theory. At Corteva, we prioritize serving farmers by empowering our salespeople to address technical inquiries and share the narratives behind our product innovations. As an intern, you will be immersed in a collaborative environment, working alongside diverse teams across the organization. This role will provide you with leadership experience as you lead meetings and develop projects with the support of a mentor. You will also enhance your technical knowledge translation skills, learning how to distill complex information into impactful formats for various audiences. Additionally, you will gain insights into educational design by collaborating with team members who specialize in instructional design, allowing you to think like a trainer and create effective learning experiences for adults. The internship will also involve visual design skills, where you will work with Corteva design specialists to assist in creating graphic elements that support educational materials. Throughout your internship, you will have the chance to build a professional network through special intern events and daily interactions with colleagues in various roles at Corteva.

Responsibilities

  • Support the development of technical learning resources for North America regional needs.
  • Convert research and agronomy information into practical technical learning tools.
  • Collaborate with team members to enhance educational design and instructional strategies.
  • Assist in creating graphic elements for educational materials with design specialists.
  • Lead meetings and project development with mentor support.

Requirements

  • Minimum GPA of 3.0.
  • Undergraduate or graduate student pursuing a degree in science or science communications with an interest in agriculture.
  • Must be enrolled in classes the semester following the internship.
  • Ability to relocate to Johnston, IA or Indianapolis, IN for the internship duration.
  • Availability to work full-time (40 hours per week) for 10-12 weeks during the internship period (typically May to August).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications including Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Teams.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain effective relationships.
  • Demonstrated owner's mindset and strong bias for action.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to influence and collaborate effectively with teams.
  • Capability to lead during times of ambiguity and change.
  • Passion for education and helping others learn.
