About the position
The R D Technician role at Bright Innovation Labs involves supporting R D Chemists in various laboratory tasks, including preparing batches, conducting physio-chemical testing, and maintaining product stability and compatibility data. The position emphasizes a safety-first approach and adherence to company policies and procedures while working in a laboratory environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare routine fragrance extension formulas for batching.
- Assist chemists with batching, filling samples, and shipping to customers.
- Prepare and submit samples for stability, compatibility, and preservative efficacy testing.
- Conduct physico-chemical testing of raw materials, in-process bulk, and finished goods for analysis.
- Set up, monitor, test, and record results/observations for internal R D accelerated stability.
- Maintain files on all stability, compatibility, and preservative efficacy testing of products.
- Maintain and calibrate all gauges and instruments.
- Assist in cleaning and organizing the R D Laboratory.
- Promote compliance with company policies, procedures, quality standards, and safety regulations.
- Participate in safety and cGMP training sessions.
Requirements
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task.
- Basic math and unit conversion skills.
- Strong verbal and writing skills, along with strong communication skills.
- Experience with Microsoft Office tools such as Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Ability to operate testing equipment such as pH Meter, Viscometer, and balance.
- Ability to identify and differentiate colors and olfactive properties of products.
- Must successfully pass a background check and drug screen.
