Viskase is seeking a dedicated individual to join our team in the Distribution area. The successful candidate will be responsible for validating all inventory transactions, including PIP's, stock pulls, and recalls, ensuring timely systems input and accuracy of inventory records, which encompass 4M-5M CTNS. The role involves scheduling cycle counts, reconciling discrepancies, and analyzing causes of discrepancies with recommended corrective actions. Daily maintenance and updates of the locator file are essential, as well as coordinating customer shipments and transfers to ensure documentation, physical compliance, and carrier scheduling are managed effectively for department efficiency, on-time shipment, and shipment accuracy. The position requires adherence to Distribution policies and procedures for all shipments, receiving phone orders for various shipment types, and tracing inbound/outbound shipments as necessary. Communication with other plants regarding transfer/shipment information is crucial, as is the preparation of all LTL shipments to maximize space utilization and order turnaround efficiency. Timely receipt of all inbound freight is necessary to support plant operations, and prioritization of job duties is essential to ensure coverage in the Distribution area. The candidate will also perform other duties as required by the department supervisor or manager, adhere to local and corporate safety policies, and promote safety objectives within the plant. Compliance with ISO9001 standards is expected to continually improve products and services to meet customer requirements, along with performing administrative duties to maintain accurate transaction records in the system.
