About the position

The Maintenance Technician position at a beachfront resort in Atlantic Beach involves skilled work to maintain and repair condominium units and resort facilities. The role requires performing various maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical repairs, HVAC maintenance, and general upkeep to ensure the properties remain in excellent condition. Weekend work is required, and shifts may vary throughout the day.

Responsibilities

• Perform general upkeep, preventative maintenance, and minor repairs to keep units in like-new condition.
• Conduct exterior painting and repairs for parking lots, poolside areas, buildings, and walkways.
• Carry out preventative maintenance on equipment used by landscapers, housekeeping, and maintenance staff.
• Organize and maintain inventory of stocked replacement items.
• Re-key, replace, and repair door locks as needed.
• Repair or replace stove burners and electrical components such as switches, plugs, and circuit breakers.
• Provide minor repairs to door and gate hinges, and lubricate motors as necessary.
• Participate in health and safety meetings and follow all safety regulations.
• Assist with special projects as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of experience in a related field.
• Experience in plumbing repairs, appliance repairs, electrical repairs, and painting.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
