About the position

As an Outbound Sales Development Representative for Google Chrome at MarketStar, you will play a crucial role in helping small and medium businesses leverage Google's tools to enhance their operations. Your primary responsibility will be to simplify the onboarding process for customers, guiding them through the initial stages of using the Chrome browser and its management features. This involves not only explaining the product and answering queries but also providing technical onboarding support to ensure a smooth transition for business customers. In this position, you will be expected to self-prospect, research, and develop both semi-warm and cold leads, while also working on leads generated by marketing efforts. Your ability to reactivate cold leads will be essential in maintaining a robust sales pipeline. You will engage with potential customers through outbound phone calls and emails, providing exceptional customer interaction by leveraging your product knowledge and enthusiasm. Maintaining strong pipeline hygiene is critical; you will track your activities and update records in a CRM system to manage your lead funnel effectively. Clear communication with customers regarding next steps in the sales process will be vital to increasing the probability of closing opportunities. You will also be responsible for executing the lead qualification process, ensuring that leads are effectively moved through the sales funnel. Your contributions will not only help you achieve individual targets but also support the overall KPIs of your team and clients. Additionally, you will provide actionable insights based on market trends and customer feedback, proactively identifying problems and recommending creative solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Self-prospect, research, generate, and develop semi-warm and cold leads.
  • Attempt reactivation of cold marketing leads in the SMB segment.
  • Provide exceptional customer interaction through product knowledge expertise and excitement.
  • Maintain strong pipeline hygiene by tracking activities and updating records in a CRM.
  • Manage a healthy pipeline and lead funnel via program tool stack and systems.
  • Execute clear communication with potential customers via outbound phone calls and email.
  • Create clear communication and expectations with customers on next steps in the sales funnel.
  • Execute lead qualification process and framework to effectively qualify leads and move them through the sales funnel.
  • Achieve individual targets and contribute to team and client's overall KPIs.
  • Provide actionable insights to market trends, lead sources, product feedback, customer insights, and learnings based on customer conversations.
  • Proactively look for problems that can be solved creatively and present recommended solutions.

Requirements

  • Proven time management and organizational skills in a strictly outbound sales development motion.
  • Previous sales experience preferred, in similar roles, including elements of cold calling, self-prospecting, objection handling, and customer service skills.
  • Must be determined to learn and open to coaching, with a positive attitude.
  • Adaptable in mindset and practice with a fast-paced, changing environment.
  • Ability to work within a group and be a collaborative team player.
  • Proficient in basic computer skills, Microsoft Office, G-Suite, and general sales tools such as CRMs.
  • Ability to professionally communicate and conduct presentations and product demos through both phone and email.
