About the position

The RACF Security Administrator role at SolomonEdwards involves managing user access to mainframe resources, ensuring compliance with security policies, and supporting fraud prevention efforts. The position requires expertise in RACF ID infrastructure and roles, particularly within the FIS IBS Core and related services. The role is remote and is structured as a 3-month contract, focusing on evaluating and consolidating user roles while maintaining system control and compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Manage user access to mainframe resources, ensuring only authorized personnel can perform specific actions.
  • Grant or revoke permissions, set up user profiles, and maintain access lists.
  • Enforce security policies as defined by the organization.
  • Configure rules related to password policies, resource protection, and authentication methods.
  • Investigate security incidents and take appropriate actions.
  • Analyze logs, identify vulnerabilities, and mitigate risks.
  • Monitor system activity, generate audit logs, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct regular audits to help maintain security standards.
  • Manage emergency access during system failures or critical incidents.
  • Educate users and IT staff about security best practices and promote awareness of security risks.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science preferred or equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience required.
  • 5-10+ years of information security experience required.
  • Advanced technical knowledge of ACF2, TSS, or RACF (ACF2 preferred).
  • Knowledge of network technologies (protocols, design concepts, access control) and security technologies (encryption, data protection, privilege access).
  • Familiarity with FIS systems is a plus, especially FIS IBS Core.
