About the position

The Racing Simulation Venue Operator position at the Porsche Experience Center in Carson, CA, involves working as an integral team member in the motor racing Simlab. This full-time role requires providing orientation on simulators, assisting high-profile clientele, and maintaining professional relationships while ensuring the smooth operation of simulation equipment and scheduling events.

Responsibilities

• Provide initial orientation of the simulators and driving techniques to clients.
• Engage and assist high-profile clientele and their guests with individualized support.
• Build and maintain long-term professional relationships with clients using product knowledge and excellent interpersonal skills.
• Perform general maintenance of simulators and provide technical support for computer, audio, tactile, and simulation software systems.
• Identify equipment problems and implement efficient solutions.
• Manage and monitor the daily Simlab schedule and assist with special events scheduling and setup.
• Communicate necessary schedule changes effectively with team members.
• Assist in other key areas of the Porsche Experience Center as required.

Requirements

• College Degree (Associate or Bachelor's Degree) or certification in a relevant area.
• Two years of experience in a customer service or sales-oriented role, particularly with high-profile clientele.
• Proficiency with MS Office and MS OS, with a willingness to learn new software applications quickly.
• Good verbal and written communication skills, both individually and in a team setting.
• Passion for learning and a commitment to quality-driven work ethic.

Nice-to-haves

• Knowledge of or motivation to acquire a broad knowledge of the Porsche Brand, including products, history, services, markets, and marketing.
