About the position

The Radiologic Technologist position at CommunityMed Family Urgent Care involves performing radiology exams and supporting clinical operations in a fast-paced urgent care environment. The role requires flexibility in scheduling, including rotating weekends, and entails cross-training for various back-office clinical duties. Responsibilities

• Arrive to shift on time and perform opening duties in the clinic.
• Room and triage patients, recording vital signs and relevant information.
• Stock and prepare clinic rooms, maintaining inventory and supplies.
• Perform radiology exams as ordered by the provider, ensuring radiation doses are kept ALARA.
• Collect and process lab specimens and perform occupational medicine testing.
• Assist with patient procedures and educate patients on clinic services.
• Screen and triage calls, directing them to appropriate departments.
• Review and record lab results, communicating with patients as necessary.
• Participate in educational opportunities to enhance job knowledge.
• Identify and resolve facility or clinic issues, submitting help desk tickets as needed.

Requirements

• Active Registration on Texas Medical Board (NCT, LMRT, or RT).
• Graduate of an accredited school of radiologic technology.
• Current BLS certification.
• Up to date OSHA immunizations (Flu, Tdap, TB, Hep B).
• 1 year of experience in medical imaging and MA duties (rooming, vitals, charting, triage).

Nice-to-haves

• 2 years' experience in in-person/telephonic triage and patient care.
• Experience with injections, phlebotomy, and point of care testing.
• Digital Imaging Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
• DOT Drug/BAT certification.
