Responsibilities

• Perform CT radiologic procedures under the direction of the Radiologist and a Preceptor.
• Use independent judgment and initiative to perform CT procedures and appropriate protocols for diagnosis, including Interventional Radiology procedures with CT guidance.
• Assume responsibility for designated areas or procedures as required.
• Assist in X-ray in addition to CT to meet department needs.
• Obtain ARRT(CT) credential within 12 months of starting this role and transition to the appropriate CT Tech job description/role.
• Work under the supervision of a credentialed CT or experienced CT technologist registered in another primary modality to obtain the necessary experience for ARRT CT registry.
• Rotate on-call status and contact vendor service engineer for assistance when system problems arise.
• Perform other related duties as required and deemed necessary by Supervisor, including general x-ray and surgical x-ray imaging as needed.

Requirements

• Associate's degree or Graduate of a Technical School
• American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) (RT)
• Florida State Licensure CRT
• Basic Life Support - CPR Certification
