About the position

The Division of Radiation Therapy at Stanford University is seeking a board eligible or board certified radiation oncologist to join their faculty in the Clinician Educator line. This role involves general radiation oncology practice and practice building at the Stanford Emanuel Radiation Oncology Center (SEROC) in Turlock, CA. The successful candidate will be expected to provide clinical care, develop treatment programs, and facilitate referrals while participating in local tumor boards and clinical trials.

Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical care for patients at the Stanford Emanuel Radiation Oncology Center (SEROC).
  • Develop and expand treatment programs at the Turlock site.
  • Facilitate referrals and participate in local tumor boards.
  • Identify patients for clinical trial participation.
  • Utilize state-of-the-art equipment for treatment planning and delivery.

Requirements

  • M.D. degree and completion of residency in an ACGME-accredited program.
  • Medical licensure in California by the start date.
  • Strong experience in clinical care and program building at an outpatient cancer center setting.
  • Experience in multi-modality treatment planning (e.g., PET, 4D CT, MRI).
  • Interest in image guided radiotherapy (IGRT), stereotactic body radiotherapy (SBRT), and stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS).
  • Experience in HDR brachytherapy.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with TrueBeam and Trilogy linear accelerators.
  • Familiarity with advanced treatment modalities such as Cyberknife and MRIdian.
