About the position

The position involves participating in various patient care and non-patient care duties related to the planning and administration of radiation therapy. The role includes fabricating treatment aids, performing simulation procedures, and ensuring patient and employee safety while delivering radiation treatment. Additionally, the position involves instructing students and participating in educational activities and staff meetings.

Responsibilities

• Participates in patient care and non-patient care duties related to radiation therapy administration.
• Fabrics treatment aids and immobilization devices.
• Performs simulation and AcQsim procedures.
• Collects, analyzes, and interprets data and performs quality checks.
• Delivers radiation treatment to patients.
• Instructs students in radiation therapy procedures.
• Ensures patient and employee safety and effective communication.
• Participates in educational activities and staff meetings.
• Ensures certification and compliance with standards.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Radiation Therapy Program.
• American Registry of Radiological Technologist (ARRT) certification within 6 months of hire.
• American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification required.
