About the position
The Radiation Therapist at Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute plays a crucial role in treating cancer and other diseases by administering radiation treatments according to established treatment plans. This position requires meticulous record-keeping and adherence to safety protocols, ensuring the highest standards of patient care and safety are maintained.
Responsibilities
- Administer radiation treatments to patients according to treatment plans.
- Maintain detailed records of all therapy sessions.
- Adhere to safety responsibilities and guidelines during treatment.
- Collaborate with the Dosimetrist, Radiation Therapy Physicist, and Radiation Oncologist in patient care.
- Assess patient needs and conditions throughout the treatment process.
Requirements
- Associate's degree preferred.
- One year of experience in radiation therapy highly preferred.
- Experience with hematology/oncology/radiation oncology patients in a clinic or hospital is a plus.
- Valid Florida Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT/RTT) license required.
- ARRT Certified, BLS Certified, CPR Certified.
Nice-to-haves
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Strong customer service skills and ability to build engaging culture.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multi-site environment.
