About the position

The Radiation Therapist at Lake Huron Medical Center is responsible for providing patient services using imaging modalities for simulation and x-ray therapy equipment to treat patients with malignancies and pain. This role emphasizes the application of radiation protection principles and documentation of the therapeutic care process in accordance with departmental standards.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient services using imaging modalities for simulation and x-ray therapy equipment to treat patients for malignancies and pain.
• Applies principles of radiation protection while operating equipment to localize treatment volume and deliver prescribed dosage according to treatment plans.
• Documents components of the therapeutic care process in a concise, legible format consistent with departmental standards, policies, and procedures.

Requirements

• Graduate of radiation therapy program required.
• American Registry of Radiation Therapy Technology certification required.
• Previous experience desired.
• Current BLS certification required.
• Familiarity with State and Federal regulations.
