About the position

As a Radiation Therapist in Radiation Oncology, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact while enjoying competitive pay packages, comprehensive benefits, and support from a dedicated clinical team. This position is a 13-week travel assignment in Mountain View, CA, where you will work 40 hours a week, typically in a day shift schedule. Your role will involve collaborating with physicians and health team members to provide and coordinate patient care, monitor patient responses, and administer medications as ordered. You will also be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and adequate stock of supplies in treatment rooms.

Responsibilities

  • Communicates and collaborates with physicians and other health team members.
  • Provides and coordinates patient care with other health team members.
  • Monitors patients' responses to interventions and reports outcomes.
  • Administers medications as ordered with appropriate documentation.
  • Monitors and evaluates patients before, during, and post procedure depending on unit.
  • Shares on-call responsibilities with a 30-minute response time if required.
  • Maintains cleanliness of rooms and adequate stock of supplies.
  • Transports patients as needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • One to three years experience as a Radiation Therapist preferred.
  • Must be a Radiation Therapist (RTT) with a valid RTT license.
  • ARRT certification and BLS certification required.
  • Critical thinking, service excellence, and good interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to read/comprehend written instructions and follow verbal instructions.
  • PC skills and ability to cope with frequent contact with the general public.

  • Other certifications may be required for this position.
