About the position

The Radio Host/Digital Content Writer at Townsquare Media Flint is a full-time, in-office role focused on engaging the local community through a vibrant morning show. The position requires a dynamic individual who excels in both on-air hosting and digital content creation, aiming to enhance the station's brand and connect with the audience across various platforms. The ideal candidate will be passionate about local culture and entertainment, ready to contribute to the station's digital-first approach, and eager to build lasting community relationships.

Responsibilities

• Host or Co-host daily on-air shows Monday - Friday.
• Spend time each day doing daily show prep.
• Publish a minimum of 2 original local articles per day on the station website and mobile app.
• Write assigned Facebook posts along with other social media platforms.
• Conduct on-air interviews, attend and assist in all market cluster live events, and produce commercials on a daily basis.
• Conduct Live Remotes and appearances and assist in special promotions and programming activities.

Requirements

• History of original written digital content.
• Knowledge of basic FCC rules and regulations.
• Must have superior knowledge of current events and CHR/Hot AC.
• Ability to interact with management and staff at all levels, multi-task, and handle pressures and deadlines.
• Skill in operation of control board, remote broadcasting, and other related production equipment.
• Quickly become proficient in Zetta and Adobe Audition.
• Computer literacy in applicable programs and excellent verbal communication skills.
• Public speaking skills and ability to interact with listeners and clients in a public setting.
• Problem-solving ability and skill in prioritizing.
