Townsquare Media is seeking a dynamic Radio Host/Digital Content Writer for a full-time in-office position in Billings, MT. This role requires a multifaceted individual who excels in both on-air broadcasting and digital content creation. The ideal candidate will not only host daily shows but will also be a strong advocate for the station, engaging with the community and enhancing the brand's presence both on-air and online. As a digital-first company, Townsquare Media emphasizes the importance of local content and community involvement, making it essential for the candidate to be adept in social media management and digital content strategies. In this role, you will be responsible for hosting daily on-air shows from Monday to Friday, preparing for each show, and entertaining and informing listeners through various platforms. You will be expected to publish a minimum of two original local articles daily on the station's website and mobile app, as well as manage social media posts across platforms like Facebook. The position also involves conducting on-air interviews, participating in live events, and producing commercials. The successful candidate will be someone who is not only passionate about radio but also eager to connect with the audience and build lasting community relationships. Responsibilities

  • Host daily on-air shows Monday - Friday.
  • Spend time each day doing daily show prep.
  • Entertain and inform the listener audience both on the air, via digital content, and social media outlets.
  • Publish a minimum of 2 original local articles per day on the station website and mobile app.
  • Write assigned Facebook posts along with other social media platforms.
  • Conduct on-air interviews, attend and assist in all market cluster live events, and produce commercials on a daily basis.
  • Conduct Live Remotes and appearances and assist in special promotions and programming activities.

Requirements

  • History of original written digital content.
  • Knowledge of basic FCC rules and regulations.
  • Ability to interact with management and staff at all levels, multi-task, and handle pressures and deadlines.
  • Skill in operation of control board, remote broadcasting, and other related production equipment.
  • Quickly become proficient in NexGen and Adobe Audition.
  • Computer literacy in applicable programs and excellent verbal communication skills.
  • Public speaking skills and ability to interact with listeners and clients in a public setting.
  • Problem-solving ability and skill in prioritizing.
