About the position

The Radiologic Technologist operates x-ray equipment under general supervision to provide diagnostic and therapeutic services. This role requires knowledge of radiology practices and procedures, as well as the ability to prepare and administer chemical mixtures relevant to the procedures. The technologist works closely with the Imaging Supervisor and is expected to meet the age-specific needs of patients while maintaining regular attendance.

Responsibilities

  • Operate x-ray equipment to support diagnostic and therapeutic services.
  • Prepare and administer various chemical mixtures as appropriate for procedures.
  • Work under immediate supervision and follow established protocols.
  • Report to the Imaging Supervisor and perform related duties as assigned.
  • Utilize creativity and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
  • Meet age-specific needs of the assigned unit.

Requirements

  • Current 2nd year student in an accredited school of radiography or a new graduate of a Radiologic Technology Program.
  • Must successfully graduate from an accredited school and complete the A.R.R.T. registry within 12 months from the date of hire.
