About the position

The Radiologic Technologist at Saint Vincent Hospital is responsible for performing a range of diagnostic radiographic procedures under minimal supervision. This role involves providing technical support for interventional radiographic examinations, assessing patient conditions, operating imaging equipment, and maintaining examination rooms and equipment. The technologist will perform radiographic exams on all patients as necessary and complete established competencies within a designated introductory period.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic to complex diagnostic radiographic procedures as requested by a licensed physician.
• Provide technical support for interventional radiographic examinations.
• Assess patient condition prior to procedures.
• Operate imaging equipment effectively and safely.
• Prepare examination rooms and maintain equipment, supplies, and medications.
• Perform radiographic exams on all patients as necessary.
• Complete established competencies for the position within the designated introductory period.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Completion of an accredited radiologic technology program.
• Current certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
• State licensure as required.
• Ability to operate imaging equipment and perform radiographic procedures.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
