About the position

The Radiologic Technology Clinical Coordinator/Instructor is responsible for the organization, administration, continuous review, planning, development, and overall effectiveness of clinical experiences for students in the Radiologic Technology program. This position involves teaching a full range of college-level classes in the Radiologic Technology Program, including traditional, online, and hybrid courses. The Clinical Coordinator will also be responsible for ordering equipment, helping to recruit and advise for the department, and performing all duties associated with community college faculty.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with required tasks and documentation to maintain accreditation of program.
  • Complete all required reports such as attendance and grade submissions.
  • Complete annual performance review and maintain related records.
  • Teach assigned courses via on ground, online, hybrid or web-enhanced modalities.
  • Teach evening, weekend, off-campus, dual enrollment, and distance-based courses as required.
  • Develop curriculum, evaluate, and review departmental courses.
  • Promote communication with transfer institutions, professional associations, and other external constituents to support student success.
  • Evaluate and monitor progress to achieve individual and unit goals and objectives.
  • Coordinate and maintain clinical schedules with clinical sites.
  • Provide program orientation and training to clinical preceptors.
  • Correlate and coordinate clinical education with didactic education and evaluating its effectiveness.
  • Conduct periodic site visits at clinical agencies and facilities to observe students during clinical shifts.
  • Maintain regular contact with clinical preceptors and clinical sites.
  • Evaluate student performance during clinical experiences in an ongoing manner and communicate progress to supervisor.
  • Ensure all students are in compliance with clinical site requirements prior to scheduling clinical shifts.
  • Assist with the evaluation of clinical sites.
  • Monitor student clinical progress and competency based on program objectives.
  • Assist in the preparation of budget request each fiscal year.
  • Attend all divisional faculty meetings and participate in the discussion of academic issues during these meetings.
  • Provide academic advisement for students.
  • Assist in marketing/recruiting activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Radiologic Technology or related field.
  • Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification - Radiography (R).
  • Two years' clinical experience in radiologic technology profession.
  • One year experience as an instructor in a JRCERT-accredited program.
  • Experience with curriculum/course development.
  • Teaching experience with technology including online instructional tools and mobile devices.

Nice-to-haves

  • Three or more years' clinical experience in radiologic technology.
  • Two or more years' experience as an instructor in a JRCERT-accredited program.
  • Conversational ability or fluency in a second language.

Benefits

  • Salary range for candidates with a bachelor's degree: $57,187 - $71,485.
  • Salary range for candidates with a master's degree: $60,047 - $75,058.
  • Salary range for candidates with a PhD: $68,093 - $85,116.
