About the position

The Radiology Digital Library Analyst position at UC San Diego involves providing technical support for the Imaging Enterprise Imaging central repository and medical records. The role focuses on assisting users with electronic records, image distribution, and ensuring quality assurance for uploaded images. The analyst will also be responsible for end-user training, troubleshooting technical issues, and documenting processes and solutions.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support related to the Imaging Enterprise Imaging central repository and medical records.
• Assist users with procedural or minor technical problems related to electronic records reconciliation and image distribution.
• Create documentation to assist with technical support and chronic issues with the systems.
• Conduct end-user training and assist with process issues and technical questions.
• Monitor unexpected errors and report issues to the Enterprise Imaging Informatics technical team.
• Document functionality gaps reported by users and suggest solutions.
• Consult with Enterprise Imaging Informatics technical support on new RIS design and implementation.
• Assist with functionality testing of Enterprise tools during test trials and pre-go live.
• Perform other entry-level technical support functions as required.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• One year of professional experience providing technical support in a large healthcare environment.
• Basic knowledge of clinical imaging systems and related processes.
• Knowledge of relevant hardware, software, and database administration.
• Detail-oriented with basic organizational skills and the ability to manage time efficiently.
• Effective communication skills with cross-functional staff.
• Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
