About the position

The Radiology Digital Library Analyst at UC San Diego Health provides technical support for the Imaging Enterprise Imaging central repository and medical records. This entry-level position involves assisting users with electronic records, ensuring quality assurance for uploaded images, and supporting the functionality of clinical imaging systems. The role includes training end-users, documenting issues, and collaborating with technical teams to enhance imaging processes.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support related to the Imaging Enterprise Imaging central repository and medical records.
  • Assist users with procedural or minor technical problems related to electronic records reconciliation and image distribution.
  • Create documentation to assist with technical support and chronic issues with the systems.
  • Conduct end-user training and assist with process issues and technical questions.
  • Ensure quality assurance on uploads and discs burned in the Digital Library.
  • Monitor unexpected errors and report issues to the technical team.
  • Document functionality gaps reported by users and suggest solutions.
  • Consult with technical support on new RIS design, build, testing, training, and go-live.
  • Assist with functionality testing of Enterprise tools during test trials and pre-go live.
  • Assist with the implementation and documentation of procedures for new RIS.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • One year of professional experience providing technical support in a healthcare environment.
  • Basic knowledge of clinical imaging systems and related processes.
  • Knowledge of relevant hardware, software, and database administration.
  • Detail-oriented with basic organizational skills and ability to manage time efficiently.
  • Effective communication skills with cross-functional staff.
  • Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
