About the position

The Radiology Manager at Panorama Orthopedics & Spine Center is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of imaging modalities across all locations. This role involves coordinating patient care, managing staff, ensuring compliance with regulations, and maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency in radiology services. The manager will work closely with the VP of Operations and other clinical staff to enhance patient experiences and operational workflows.

Responsibilities

  • Assist VP of Operations in managing daily operations of imaging modalities.
  • Coordinate and manage front end patient care and operations with radiologic technologists and MRI staff.
  • Complete all radiology department schedules.
  • Perform radiologic duties when called upon with proper certifications.
  • Order clinic supplies and supervise MRI PARs, MRI technologists, and Radiology Technologists.
  • Conduct staff performance evaluations and provide feedback.
  • Communicate regularly with the VP of Operations to facilitate clinic flow and staffing needs.
  • Oversee compliance with federal regulations for all imaging equipment.
  • Coordinate with vendors for service and maintenance of imaging equipment.
  • Approve invoices and oversee annual updates of protocols.
  • Ensure ACR accreditation is maintained for all MRI units.
  • Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers.
  • Coordinate patient care with other departments or physician offices.
  • Respond promptly to patient or treatment provider concerns.
  • Conduct 30, 60, and 90-day reviews for new staff.
  • Track task numbers and MRI leakage, and resolve scheduling gaps.
  • Ensure timely and accurate installation of new equipment.
  • Audit MRI and X-Ray quality and ensure adherence to safety protocols.
  • Participate in the radiology budgeting process and focus on department profitability.
  • Anticipate ways to improve patient care and experience.

Requirements

  • ARRT Certification(s)
  • BLS Certification
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • Prior supervisory experience
  • Proficient knowledge of all POSC sub-specialties
  • Proactive problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of EHR/PACs system
  • Typing speed of at least 40 WPM
  • Excellent communication skills
  • In-depth knowledge of pharmacology, anatomy, and physiology
  • Ability to spell accurately
  • Willingness to adapt to change
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure
  • Ability to maintain quality control standards
  • Knowledge of HIPAA and OSHA requirements
  • Ability to oversee state regulations for multiple imaging modalities
  • Ability to schedule preventative maintenance as needed
  • Ability to work with various outside vendors
