About the position

The Radiology Operations Specialist at Northside Hospital is responsible for coordinating the Quality Improvement program within the Radiology Department. This role involves ensuring compliance with various regulatory agencies, managing the Radiology Information System (RIS), and providing training to staff. The position also includes overseeing projects that implement new technology systems to enhance Radiology operations.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the Radiology Department's Quality Improvement/CQI program including ACR and FDA regulatory compliance.
  • Establish and monitor compliance with Quality & Patient Safety regulations.
  • Manage Northside's Radiology Information System (RIS), including exam updates and printer configuration.
  • Develop and provide training to Radiology staff and Radiologists.
  • Manage projects to implement new technology systems supporting Radiology operations.

Requirements

  • Completion of a two year AMA approved course in Radiologic Technology.
  • Good written and oral communication skills.
  • Four (4) years experience in Radiology.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Quality Improvement programs, education, and techniques for radiology.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree or Associate Degree in business, radiology, or education.
  • Knowledge of computer systems/RIS.
  • Previous experience using Microsoft Excel.
  • Two (2) years experience in facilitating a Quality Improvement program.
