About the position

The Radiology Patient Experience Ambassador at AdventHealth Shawnee Mission is responsible for enhancing the patient experience by providing exceptional customer service in the Radiology department. This part-time role involves greeting patients, assisting with inquiries, and initiating the Radiology exam process in a welcoming manner. The ambassador also performs clerical duties, manages the Radiology film library, and coordinates communications within the department.

Responsibilities

• Meet/exceed patient needs in a positive and courteous manner.
• Engage with customers and staff to enhance their experience.
• Greet customers and guests in the department.
• Assist customers with inquiries and initiate the Radiology exam process.
• Provide secretarial services for the department.
• Manage and maintain the Radiology film library.
• Obtain necessary operating supplies for the department.
• Coordinate communications and perform clerical duties.
• Follow the AIDET model (Acknowledge, Introduce, Duration, Explanation, Thank).
• Assist with the maintenance of computer hardware as appropriate.
• Fax, file, and mail various reports and information.
• Incorporate patient, physician, customer needs and concerns into decision-making.
• Answer telephone calls and relay messages.
• Provide appropriate instructions and exam preparations for future exams.

Requirements

• Basic computer skills
