About the position

The Radiology Tech PRN - Float Pool position at HCA Healthcare involves performing diagnostic radiographic procedures under the direction of a physician. Responsibilities

  • Prepares patients for exams and procedures, assessing their condition prior to and during radiologic procedures.
  • Assembles necessary supplies and positioning aids according to physician's preference card.
  • Tests and monitors equipment for proper working condition.
  • Documents records and forms accurately, adhering to approved policies and procedures.
  • Confirms that all persons in the room are appropriately shielded before activating x-ray.
  • Communicates information about the patient's status to other staff responsible for their care.
  • Performs required maintenance of instruments, supplies, and equipment by adhering to cleaning, care, storage, and calibration procedures.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school of radiology required.
  • 1+ years' experience as a Radiology Technician required, preferably in an operating room or surgery center setting.
  • Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technicians (ARRT) required.
  • BLS required (within 30 days of start).
  • State Radiology Technician license required.
