About the position

We are seeking a Radiology Technologist to join our ambulatory surgery center at College Park Endoscopy, part of HCA Healthcare, the nation's leading provider of healthcare services. In this PRN role, you will perform a variety of diagnostic radiographic procedures under the direction of a physician, ensuring compliance with established protocols to promote positive patient outcomes. Your responsibilities will include preparing patients for exams and procedures, assessing their condition prior to and during all radiologic procedures, and assembling necessary supplies and positioning aids according to the physician's preference card. You will also be responsible for testing and monitoring your equipment to ensure it is in proper working condition, documenting records accurately, and confirming that all individuals in the room are appropriately shielded before activating x-ray equipment. In addition to technical skills, you will communicate vital information about your patient's status to other staff members involved in their care. Performing required maintenance of your instruments, supplies, and equipment by adhering to cleaning, care, storage, and calibration procedures is also a key part of your role. Responsibilities

  • Prepares patients for exams and procedures.
  • Assesses patient condition prior to and during all radiologic procedures.
  • Assembles necessary supplies and positioning aids for scheduling procedures according to physician's preference card.
  • Tests and monitors equipment for proper working condition.
  • Documents records and other forms accurately, adhering to approved policies/procedures.
  • Confirms that all persons in the room are appropriately shielded before activating x-ray.
  • Communicates information about the patient's status to other staff responsible for the patient's care.
  • Performs required maintenance of instruments, supplies, and equipment by adhering to cleaning care, storage, and calibration procedures.

Requirements

  • Graduate of accredited school of radiology required.
  • 1+ years' experience as a Radiology Technician required, preferably in an operating room or surgery center setting.
  • Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technicians (ARRT) required.
  • BLS required (within 30 days of start).
  • State Radiology Technician license required.
