About the position

The Radiology Technician - CT position involves providing high-quality imaging services, specifically computed tomography (CT) scans, to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. The role is part of a mission-driven organization that focuses on empowering older adults to live independently while receiving comprehensive healthcare. The technician will work full-time hours, primarily in the afternoon and evening, and will be responsible for performing various imaging procedures while ensuring patient care and safety.

Responsibilities

  • Perform computed tomography (CT) scans and related procedures to create sectional anatomic images for interpretation by licensed practitioners.
  • Provide appropriate patient care and recognize conditions essential for successful completion of imaging procedures.
  • Exercise professional judgment in the performance of services while maintaining medical ethics.
  • Support the Imaging Services Department, which performs an average of 80,000 exams per year, including CT, MRI, PET scans, ultrasound, nuclear medicine, and digital X-ray.

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree or equivalent degree in Radiology.
  • Completion of a military radiology program or a hospital-based radiology program approved by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • 1 year of practical experience as a Radiologic Technologist or equivalent.
  • Valid X-Ray Machine Operators License from the Indiana State Department of Health within 6 months post-graduation.
  • Current Registration from ARRT required within 90 days post-graduation, with CE credits maintained as per accrediting bodies' requirements.
  • Registered Computer Tomography (CT) certification with ARRT required within 12 months of hire.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through American Heart Association (AHA) required.
