About the position
The Radiology Technologist plays a crucial role in performing a variety of technical radiographic procedures that apply prescribed ionizing radiation for the purpose of radiologic diagnosis. This position requires the technologist to assume responsibility for assigned areas and/or procedures as requested, demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of radiologic principles while adhering to department protocols. Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of technical radiographic procedures using prescribed ionizing radiation for diagnostic purposes.
- Assume responsibility for assigned areas and/or procedures as requested.
- Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of radiologic principles and department protocols.
- Work collaboratively with team members to promote a team concept in patient care.
- Reflect the mission and values of Providence Health & Services in all duties performed.
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited and approved program for diagnostic radiologic technology.
- Washington Radiologic Technologist certification upon hire.
- National Provider BLS certification from the American Heart Association upon hire.
- National Certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists upon hire.
