About the position

The Radiology Technologist plays a crucial role in performing a variety of technical radiographic procedures that apply prescribed ionizing radiation for the purpose of radiologic diagnosis. This position requires the technologist to assume responsibility for assigned areas and/or procedures as requested, demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of radiologic principles while adhering to department protocols. The technologist is expected to perform all duties in a manner that promotes teamwork and reflects the mission and values of Providence Health & Services. Responsibilities

  • Perform a variety of technical radiographic procedures using prescribed ionizing radiation for diagnostic purposes.
  • Assume responsibility for assigned areas and/or procedures as requested.
  • Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of radiologic principles and department protocols.
  • Work collaboratively with team members to promote a team concept in patient care.
  • Reflect the mission and values of Providence Health & Services in all duties performed.

Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited and approved program for diagnostic radiologic technology.
  • Washington Radiologic Technologist certification upon hire.
  • National Provider BLS certification from the American Heart Association upon hire.
  • National Certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists upon hire.

Nice-to-haves

  • Radiographic experience in a clinical setting.
  • Experience with customer service.
  • Familiarity with computer programs, specifically Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with Electronic Medical Records software.
