About the position

Cedar Hill Regional Medical Center is set to open in early 2025, marking the first new full-service hospital in Washington, DC in over 20 years. This teaching hospital will integrate clinical care with existing providers, including The George Washington University Hospital and the Urgent Care Center in Ward 8. The facility will feature 136 beds, expandable to 184, a verified trauma center, adult and pediatric emergency departments, maternal health and delivery services, an ambulatory pavilion, and a helipad for emergency transports. We are seeking a part-time Radiology Technologist to provide general diagnostic imaging services under the direction of the Imaging Lead or Manager. The ideal candidate will ensure radiation protection and safety for patients and staff, maintain equipment and work areas, and perform examinations in a professional manner.

Responsibilities

  • Provide general diagnostic imaging services under the direction of the Imaging Lead or Manager.
  • Demonstrate radiation protection and safety for patients, staff, and self as outlined in department protocols and regulatory guidelines.
  • Maintain equipment, exam rooms, and work areas in a neat and safe condition.
  • Perform examinations in a proficient, courteous, and professional manner.

Requirements

  • High School Graduate or equivalent.
  • Diploma from a certified school of radiologic technology.
  • Minimum Two (2) years' experience as a registered Radiology Technologist required, acute care experience preferred.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association required.
  • Active American Registry of Radiology Technologists (ARRT) license required.

Nice-to-haves

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, regulatory or accreditation requirements.
  • Demonstrates knowledge and ensures compliance with all regulatory bodies, e.g. The Joint Commission and American College of Radiology (ACR).
  • Demonstrates strong leadership, organization, communication, and interpersonal skills.
