About the position
The Radiology Technologist operates radiographic equipment to produce quality radiographs of specific body areas as directed by a physician, adhering to radiation safety protocols. This role emphasizes urgent care skills, including pediatrics, and requires the technologist to provide timely, professional, and safe patient care while collaborating with other medical professionals to ensure high-quality healthcare delivery.
Responsibilities
- Operate radiographic equipment to produce quality radiographs of designated body parts under physician orders.
- Adhere to radiation safety procedures during all imaging processes.
- Provide direct patient care, ensuring comfort and addressing personal needs.
- Work collaboratively with other medical professionals to deliver quality healthcare.
- Perform urgent care procedures, including those involving pediatric patients.
Requirements
- Registered Technologist for Radiography certification is required.
- Graduate from an accredited Radiologic Technology program is required.
- No prior experience is required, but clinical experience in Radiology is necessary.
Nice-to-haves
- 1 year of clinical experience in urgent care is preferred.
