About the position

The Rail Fleet Analyst plays a crucial role in supporting logistics, feedstock procurement, and sales operations for biodiesel and renewable diesel production at Seaboard Energy. This position involves daily coordination with various stakeholders to manage and optimize the rail fleet, ensuring timely repairs, transit, and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Manage the daily operations of the rail fleet, collaborating with plants, terminals, customers, and railroads.
• Proactively monitor and identify railcar idle times, logging service issues, including bad order cars and delays.
• Generate and distribute daily inbound railcar reports to plants and logistics teams.
• Coordinate cost-effective repairs and shop qualifications for bad order railcars.
• Audit and approve rail freight, repair, and lease invoices.
• Cross-train with logistics analysts and supply chain coordinators to ensure familiarity with each role.
• Monitor and report on transit and cycle times, identifying discrepancies between projected and actual times.
• Provide fleet performance reports and compile customer demurrage data for management review.
• Maintain all rail fleet information in Kaleris.
• Collaborate with safety personnel to lead investigations for rail-related incidents.
• Forecast unit train departure timelines and update stakeholders on changes.
• Initiate and manage electronic document signatures for rail and feedstock contracts.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field required.
• 2+ years' experience in rail operations required.
• Proficient in all Microsoft Office products.
• Experience with Right Angle and/or ShipXpress preferred.
• Ability to present and communicate effectively with various levels of internal and external customers.
