About the position
The Project Manager I - Engineering at HNTB is responsible for managing assigned projects throughout their full lifecycle. This includes developing proposal and procurement documents, participating in contract negotiations, and overseeing project delivery to ensure quality work is completed on time and within budget. The role requires proactive management of budgets, schedules, technical requirements, and client communications, while also providing high-level technical oversight and coordinating with various internal and external partners.
Responsibilities
- Manage assigned projects throughout their full lifecycle.
- Develop scope and technical sections of proposal and procurement documents.
- Participate in contract negotiations.
- Oversee the delivery of the project plan to meet HNTB's performance standards.
- Proactively manage project budget, schedule, and technical requirements.
- Ensure contractual obligations are met and maintain client communications.
- Review design-related specifications, calculations, reports, and plans.
- Coordinate with internal and external partners to address design-related issues.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
- Experience in project management within the engineering sector.
- Strong understanding of project lifecycle management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage budgets and schedules effectively.
