The Ramp & Customer Service Agent plays a crucial role in ensuring that guests have a seamless travel experience from curb to cabin. This position involves a variety of tasks both above and below the wing, which includes direct interactions with guests as well as essential ramp functions. Agents are expected to assist guests with their travel needs, which encompasses answering inquiries, handling baggage, ticketing, checking in passengers, and boarding flights in a fast-paced airport environment. In addition to customer service responsibilities, the role requires working outdoors in various weather conditions while performing below wing functions. This includes transporting baggage and cargo, loading and offloading luggage, aircraft marshaling, pushing back aircraft, and performing aircraft deicing. Agents are also responsible for aircraft grooming and conducting security searches. The Ramp & Customer Service Agent will perform boarding and gate duties, which involve assisting and directing guests, making announcements, and processing standby and upgrade requests. They will also manage guest luggage, including filing and maintaining luggage claims for damaged, delayed, or pilfered items. The role may require agents to perform other duties as assigned by management to ensure complete guest satisfaction, making flexibility and adaptability key traits for success in this position.
