The Ramp & Customer Service Agent at Horizon Air plays a crucial role in ensuring a seamless travel experience for guests. This position encompasses a variety of responsibilities both above and below wing, which include direct guest interactions and essential ramp functions. Agents are expected to assist guests with their travel needs, which involves answering inquiries, managing baggage, ticketing, checking in passengers, and boarding flights in a fast-paced airport environment. The role requires working outdoors in various weather conditions while performing tasks such as transporting baggage and cargo, loading and offloading luggage, aircraft marshaling, and pushing back aircraft. Additionally, agents are responsible for performing aircraft grooming and conducting security searches to ensure safety and compliance. In this role, agents will also handle boarding and gate duties, which include assisting and directing guests, making announcements, processing standby and upgrade requests, and securing guest luggage. They will file and maintain luggage claims for any damaged, delayed, or pilfered items. The position may require agents to perform a variety of tasks as directed by management to ensure complete guest satisfaction.
