About the position
The Ranch Manager at Trans Global Solutions Inc. is responsible for overseeing the care and maintenance of various exotic livestock and managing agricultural operations related to livestock feeding and crop cultivation. This role involves coordinating irrigation systems, maintaining fencing, managing agricultural equipment, supervising labor, and handling marketing and sales of livestock.
Responsibilities
- Oversee care and maintenance of exotic livestock including red deer, sable, kudu, zebra, wildebeest, and beef cattle.
- Plan, coordinate, and implement the cultivation and harvest of coastal hay and other crops for livestock feeding.
- Manage drainage and irrigation systems for crops and livestock watering.
- Design and implement an intensive rotational grazing system and maintain fencing systems.
- Inspect, maintain, and manage repairs to agricultural equipment and machinery.
- Supervise agricultural labor and contractors.
- Implement predator management measures in the agricultural area.
- Handle marketing, sales, auction, and transfer of livestock.
Requirements
- 60 months employment experience as a Ranch Manager or Livestock Manager.
- No minimum educational requirement.
- Must live within 15 minutes of the worksite or reside at the worksite in company-provided housing.
