About the position

The Rapid Application Developer will be a key member of the front office RAD technology team in the investment management sector, responsible for building and maintaining trading desk tools. This role involves collaborating closely with traders to develop bespoke solutions and general applications, ensuring that the tools meet diverse RAD needs while balancing rapid changes and long-term strategic projects.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate directly with traders to gather requirements and develop RAD solutions.
• Prioritize time-to-market, practicality, and code reusability in the development process.
• Build Excel front ends powered by C# libraries, MongoDB, and SQL Server databases.
• Manage a balance between rapid changes for business-as-usual (BAU) tasks and long-term strategic development projects.

Requirements

• Minimum 4 years of experience in Finance and Technology, ideally within front office development.
• Strong proficiency in C#, Excel, VBA, and SQL.
• In-depth knowledge of financial instruments such as Fixed Income and Derivatives.
• Experience with Python and broader financial products (FX, Commodities, Equity) is a plus.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and building reusable code libraries within a quant framework.
• Self-starter with the ability to engage directly with senior business users on trading and risk desks.
• Ability to gather requirements, design practical solutions, and implement them from start to finish.
• Commitment to best practices throughout the software development lifecycle.
