About the position

The Rare Disease Sales Consultant for Dermatology is responsible for developing pre-call plans tailored to the needs of healthcare professionals (HCPs) and their patients. This role involves building strong relationships with HCPs, fostering communication within infusion center networks, and providing timely follow-up discussions. The consultant utilizes BIPI Sales Training techniques to enhance the exchange of scientific knowledge, thereby supporting HCPs in patient management and therapy decision-making processes.

Responsibilities

  • Develop pre-call plans to meet the needs of Dermatology HCPs and accounts.
  • Build valued discussions around HCP and patient needs and opportunities.
  • Foster HCP network development and communication, including infusion center networks.
  • Conduct accurate and timely follow-up discussions with HCP stakeholders.
  • Utilize VEEVA and other BI analysis processes to plan activities and maintain account records.
  • Lead by example in completing all Sales Training requirements and administrative assignments on time.
  • Manage territory budget to support the development of thought leaders and advocates for BIPI products.
  • Provide feedback and follow-up to speakers and attendees at events.
  • Initiate contacts and network-building among advocates and stakeholders in dermatology.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulations and company policies in business conduct.
  • Complete all administrative duties, including expense and call reports, effectively and on time.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of successful pharmaceutical sales experience with at least 3 years in rare disease specialty care, or 8 years of successful pharmaceutical sales experience with a strong understanding of specialty care selling models.
  • Experience in rare or ultra-rare orphan drug launches, specialty pharmacy distribution, and infusion therapy preferred.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively perform the job.
  • Ability to translate scientific information to a broad range of customers.
  • Willingness to travel with overnight stays and attend weekend programs.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in medically complex dermatology is strongly preferred.
