About the position

The Raw Materials Operations Coordinator at Spanx plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operations of raw materials development. This position acts as a liaison between various teams, including Raw Materials, Design, Product Development, and Merchandising, to facilitate effective communication and coordination. The coordinator will be responsible for managing fabric information, tracking orders, and maintaining inventory, all while supporting the company's commitment to innovation and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Raw Materials Managers in sourcing seasonal fabrications.
  • Communicate daily with fabric suppliers to ensure accurate fabric information.
  • Track sample yardage orders and update cross-functional team members with details on delivery and status.
  • Update seasonal fabric charts, weekly CFT charts, and enter fabrications into PLM.
  • Schedule and coordinate fabric mill appointments.
  • Update, maintain, and file fabric headers in the library.
  • Organize and maintain fabric yardage inventory and replenish core fabrics where needed.
  • Send QA packages to vendors.
  • Position greige and mid-spec yardage each season for SMS and fit samples.
  • Maintain and update supplier profiles and accreditations.
  • Collect and send daily packages, organize, and deliver fabric headers and yardage to appropriate teams.

Requirements

  • Experience or academic background in Textiles coursework or related field.
  • Previous experience or knowledge in inventory or stock management in the apparel industry is preferred.
  • Strong communication skills to partner with an overseas supply chain.
  • Highly detail-oriented with a focus on understanding and addressing customer needs.
  • Ability to set objectives that align with team and organizational goals and develop plans accordingly.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in the fashion or retail industry.
  • Knowledge of PLM systems and fabric sourcing processes.
