About the position

The Guest Services Agent at Baymont by Wyndham/Penny's Diner is responsible for providing exceptional customer service to guests during their stay. This role involves greeting and registering guests, managing reservations, and ensuring a smooth check-in and check-out process. The agent must maintain a friendly demeanor and assist guests with inquiries about hotel services and local attractions, all while maximizing room revenue and occupancy rates.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and register guests upon arrival.
  • Handle check-ins and check-outs efficiently and courteously.
  • Manage reservations, including making and modifying bookings.
  • Provide information about hotel services, facilities, and local attractions.
  • Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming.
  • Comply with hotel standards and regulations for safe operations.
  • Assist in emergency procedures as required.
  • Maintain proper operation of the telephone switchboard.
  • Log and deliver packages, mail, and messages to guests.
  • Attend meetings as required by management.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience in a hotel or related field preferred.
  • Ability to multi-task and be detail-oriented.
  • Strong problem-solving skills to handle guest inquiries and issues.
  • Effective communication skills to convey information clearly.
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
