About the position

The Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) Consultant at Synergetics is a contract position focused on enhancing healthcare operations, specifically in the front-end revenue cycle. The consultant will engage with clients to assess their current business state, identify challenges, and implement tailored solutions to improve efficiency, quality, and revenue. This role requires significant travel within New Jersey, with a hands-on approach to problem-solving and collaboration with healthcare providers.

Responsibilities

  • Engage with clients to understand their current business/revenue cycle and build positive relationships.
  • Gather and analyze relevant data, conduct client interviews, and observe systems and processes firsthand.
  • Identify and catalog problems, challenges, risks, and opportunities; create reports and presentations to communicate findings.
  • Collaborate with clients to define future state requirements for tools, systems, and processes; recommend design improvements and provide implementation oversight.
  • Develop performance metrics and reports to represent the current state and guide future improvements.
  • Evaluate alternative strategies to achieve specific savings objectives.
  • Create and utilize workplans to prioritize and manage multiple concurrent tasks with urgency.
  • Work hands-on until future state procedural workstreams are established and functioning effectively.
  • Manage project resources in a team environment as needed.

Requirements

  • Background in healthcare operations including revenue cycle management.
  • Front-End Experience in the Revenue Cycle is essential.
  • 3+ years of management consulting, advisory, or direct supervisory experience including coaching and performance management.
  • Proven critical thinking skills in data collection and complex analysis.
  • Ability to find data gaps and risks, develop sound conclusions, and create implementable recommendations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to create compelling communications and deliver presentations.
  • Experience in business process mapping and familiarity with mapping software such as MS Visio.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including the ability to create Pivot Tables.
  • Demonstrated ability to apply statistical analysis tools for objective decision-making.
