About the position

The RDBMS Database Developer position at NTT DATA involves working with large data sources and developing advanced database solutions. The role requires expertise in RDBMS development, particularly with T-SQL or PL/SQL, and experience with the Hadoop ecosystem, Python scripting, and various data manipulation tools. The developer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance existing frameworks and ensure efficient data processing.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain RDBMS database solutions using advanced T-SQL or PL/SQL.
  • Write complex Python scripts for data manipulation using libraries such as Pandas.
  • Work with the Hadoop ecosystem, including HDFS, Hive, and Impala.
  • Utilize ETL tools for Big Data, with a preference for Talend.
  • Manage source code using GIT and Bitbucket.
  • Implement DevOps practices and understand CI/CD pipelines.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to influence and drive projects.
  • Handle large data sources (20+GB daily flat files) from various platforms.
  • Improve existing frameworks to expand functionality and efficiency.

Requirements

  • BS/BA in computer science or a related technical discipline.
  • 3+ years of experience with the Hadoop ecosystem, preferably Cloudera.
  • 5+ years of experience in RDBMS database development using T-SQL or PL/SQL.
  • Experience writing complex Python scripts for data manipulation.
  • Hands-on experience with HDFS, Hive, and Impala.
  • Knowledge of Linux OS (RHEL 8) and shell scripting.
  • Experience with source code management systems like GIT and Bitbucket.
  • Understanding of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Managed File Transfer tools, preferably IBM Connect Direct (NDM).
  • Familiarity with Pig, Sqoop, and NoSQL databases, preferably MongoDB.
  • Knowledge of data modeling and data warehouse development.
  • Experience with enterprise scheduling tools like Autosys.
  • Understanding of SDLC methodologies such as Waterfall and Agile.
  • Knowledge of Tableau and other reporting tools.
