About the position

The RDK QA & Triage Engineer role is focused on ensuring the quality and performance of RDK-based products through rigorous testing and triage processes. This position requires a strong understanding of networking, programming, and systems, along with the ability to work collaboratively in an Agile environment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough testing of RDK-based products to ensure quality and performance standards are met.
• Utilize networking expertise to diagnose and troubleshoot issues related to TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and routing protocols.
• Implement and maintain observability tools to monitor system performance and reliability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment to participate in sprint planning and reviews.
• Develop automation tools for testing and monitoring processes, integrating CI/CD practices.
• Design and query databases to support testing and data analysis needs.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalency certificate (GED).
• In-depth understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and routing protocols.
• Proficiency in Shell scripting, C/C++, Java, Go, and Python.
• Experience with Linux and embedded systems.
• Familiarity with observability tools like ELK and Splunk.
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies and experience in cross-functional team collaboration.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with WiFi fundamentals and DOCSIS.
• Cloud certifications such as AWS Cloud Associate, GCP, or Azure.
• Familiarity with monitoring systems like Grafana, InfluxDB, Datadog, and CloudWatch.
• Experience in building automation tools and understanding CI/CD processes.
• Knowledge of microservices architecture and database design.
