The Lead React Developer position is a contract role based in Chicago, IL, with a pay range of $56.45 to $65.00 per hour. This role is designed for a strong React developer who possesses excellent design and architectural skills. The ideal candidate should have a deep understanding of when to utilize various libraries versus core React functions, ensuring optimal performance and maintainability of the application. The position requires strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with both business and technology partners, facilitating the development of user interfaces and coordinating with Java developers to integrate backend services. As a Lead React Developer, you will initially work independently on the project, which is part of the Derivatives Product Group, covering Interest Rate and Commodity Derivatives, including options. As the initiative expands, you will have the opportunity to manage a small team, guiding them through the development process and ensuring that project milestones are met. The role emphasizes the importance of collaboration and leadership, as you will be responsible for steering the project towards success while maintaining high standards of code quality and user experience. This position is expected to last for a duration of 12 months, with a full-time commitment of approximately 40 hours per week, following a day shift schedule from Monday to Friday.
