About the position

The React Developer - SME position is a contract role focused on developing and maintaining applications using React. The role requires a subject matter expert in React to work closely with the team to deliver high-quality software solutions. The position is based in Washington DC and requires onsite presence four days a week.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain web applications using React.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
• Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
• Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs.
• Help maintain code quality, organization, and automatization.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a React Developer or similar role.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript, including DOM manipulation and the JavaScript object model.
• Experience with popular React.js workflows (such as Flux or Redux).
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs and modern front-end build pipelines and tools.
• Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical needs.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with TypeScript.
• Knowledge of modern authorization mechanisms, such as JSON Web Token.
• Familiarity with code versioning tools such as Git.
