About the position

Luxoft is seeking a React Full Stack Developer to work with a major investment management client in Southern California. The role involves participating in a SCRUM team to upgrade technology systems, focusing on full-stack development using Java and React. The developer will be responsible for understanding client requirements, enhancing code quality, and contributing to the development process.

Responsibilities

• Work in a SCRUM team and collaborate with clients and business analysts to understand new requirements.
• Develop and present recommendations based on analysis of the current solution.
• Assist in code peer reviews and build/test functional enhancements.
• Identify areas for code refactoring and contribute to the development process for continual improvement.
• Responsible for full-stack development of Java and React code to meet specifications and designs using best practices.
• Develop a world-class web services code-base.
• Estimate effort and breakdown tasks for implementing new changes and identifying risks.

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of JavaScript programming language.
• Broad experience with modern JS frameworks, particularly React.
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Familiarity with AWS services such as ECS, EKS, Fargate, S3, EFS, and Lambda.
• Experience in building and deploying CI/CD AWS code pipelines for microservices.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Angular and jQuery.
• Exposure to machine learning.
